MSU Alum Gerry Kramer donates $200,000!

“This is such an exciting time for MSU, for our state, and for my hometown of Port Huron,” Gerry said when establishing his new Spartan Fund.  “My education at MSU helped shape my career in commercial real-estate, and I’m at a point now where I want to do more to give back to my hometown.  Creating a donor advised fund at my local community foundation made the most sense and will provide the greatest leverage of my gift.” 

Who wants to see a Wolverine fund? How about “Fire Up Chips” or “Go Broncos.” Gerry is using Sparty as the proud ambassador of his new Gerry Kramer Spartan Fund. “I hope this gift spurs some of our friends from any of the universities in Michigan, and the great high schools in Michigan, to also consider utilizing our local community foundation for their personal philanthropy. Let’s have fun with school rivalries and spark giving from local alumni in a fun way,” Kramer said.  “Why wait until we’re gone.” 

The Gerry Kramer Spartan Fund will provide a broad range of charitable support in and around Port Huron, with an emphasis on projects that add to Port Huron’s continued revitalization and prosperity.
