100 Men
Posted on February 22, 2013
Men’s Night is the first gathering of our new initiative—100 Men.
April 18th from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Knowlton Ice Museum
317 Grand River Avenue, Port Huron
The premise is simple; 100 men each bring $100 and we put all of that money into one $10,000 pot. Each man gets to nominate one local program, project or organization that they feel deserves all $10,000. At the end of the evening we’ll draw 5 names at random. Those 5 men each have two minutes to make a sales pitch and convince the rest of the men why they should vote for their project. Then we all vote. Top vote getter receives all $10,000. It’s philanthropy made easy.
100 Men: engaging men in philanthropy & giving back to our communities
Cash Bar, hot hors d’oeuvres, manly-man door prizes
Almost any program, project or organization that tries to improve life in St. Clair County is eligible. But at the end of the evening, the top vote getter receives all of the money raised that evening.
