2013 Grants

The Community Foundation has been busy through the first three quarters with grant totals topping the $2 million mark.
Most recently, the Algonac Youth Football and Cheer were the big recipients of the Algonac Community Giving Program. They were one of 5 local organizations to participate in a $10,000 challenge program funded by the Community Foundation. The community rallied together to provide a total of $7,092 to the Football & Cheer.
A few other highlights include:
-A $1,100 grant helped Cleveland Elementary School kick off their Cleveland Goes to College Program this month.
-The Women’s Initiative continues to provide funding for educational programs including $1,200 to provide St. Clair elementary students with St. Clair themed story books and $4,000 to River District Hospital to provide early education through a Community Baby Shower.
