2013 Grants exceed $2.8 million
Posted on December 11, 2013
2013 has been a year of grants.
101 organizations have benefited from the more than $2.8 million in grants the Community Foundation has awarded this year. These organizations make up a wide range of services- from schools to art organizations, soup kitchens to counseling centers and the Blue Water River Walk- that without our donors, volunteers, friends and partners we would not be able to help support.
Although the number of lives that have been touched by these grants is almost impossible to count, we can be sure that it is significant because of the quality of the programs supported such as:
- SONS- Talented Tenth
- St. Clair County RESA and the KnowHow2Go Program
- Blue Water Safe Horizons
- The International Symphony Orchestra
- The Port Huron Musuem, Sandfest and the Storm of 1913
- Studio 1219
- Blue Water Convention and Visitors Bureau, Discover the Blue
- KIDS in Distress Services
- People’s Clinic
- Sanborn Gratiot Memorial Home
- Algonac Youth Football
- Lexington Arts Council’s Bach Festival
Many more organizations make up this list and can be viewed on our full listing of 2013 grants.
