ARTPRIZE
Posted on August 30, 2012
The Community Foundation of St. Clair County and the City of Port Huron are cosponsoring a visit to Grand Rapids to experience ARTPRIZE®. The tour will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012. A 54-passenger charter bus will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
ARTPRIZE® is in its fourth year as an event, and is the brainchild of Rick DeVos. It is an international art competition that has attracted over 1,500 entries in 2012, to be displayed at 162 venues in Grand Rapids. The two largest venues are Downtown Grand Rapids and the Meijer Gardens. It is unique in that it offers over $560,000 in prizes with first place receiving $200,000. Winners are judged by the public who view the pieces in the event.
