A couple of organizations received funding for their events this July…

The Port Huron Museum and the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse will be hosting the first ever Blue Water Sandfest.  A $10,000 grant from the Foundation is helping to bring this sand sculpting festival to the Blue Water Area July 4-7.  The festival will be the first of its kind in Michigan.  Professional sculptors will be on hand to sculpt tons of sand into beautiful works of art.  For more information, visit the Port Huron Musuem Website.

The Blue Water Jazz Society is hosting Jazz and Art on the River on July 20th.  The Event received an $8,000 grant from the Community Foundation to help bring professional musicians to this day long music festival in Port Huron. For more information, visit BlueWaterJazz.com
