The Community Foundation held its final board meeting for 2014 this week. The meeting was bittersweet as we said goodbye to 5 trustees who have been so committed and dedicated to giving back to their community through the community foundation for many years.
We are so thankful for their years of passion and service…..
Chuck Kelly served on the board of directors for 33 years, including chairman of the board from 2007-2009. Throughout those years, Chuck has served the Foundation in many other capacities as well including the governance committee and the executive committee.
Tom Hunter has been a member since 1991. Tom also spent many years on the Finance & Investment committee including serving as chair.
Beth Belanger joined the board in 2004. Beth was an active member and one of the original members of the Women’s Initiative. Beth was instrumental in the creation of many programs through the Women’s Initiative including the Back to School backpack giveaway, Family Read Nights and the Mobile Dentist.
Chuck Wanninger joined the board in 2008. Chuck was an original member of the Foundation’s Education Task Force that worked to create partnerships leading to the creation of KnowHow2Go.
Connie Harrison served on the board for the past three years. She has also been a member of the Foundation’s grants committee.
In 2015, we will be welcoming two new trustees to the board and welcoming back two returning trustees.
Janal Mosset and Mike Wendling will be joining the board for the first time.
