East China School District Fund Announces Spring Grants

imageThe Supporters of the East China School District Fund has raised over $175,000 since its inception in 2004.  With Spring 2009 awards, a total of $34,967 has been granted.  Congratulations to the most recent grants recipients:

Gearing Elementary
To initiate a family science night event

Gearing Elementary 5th Grade
To purchase technology to reinforce math and science standards

St. Clair Middle School Art Department
Materials to introduce students to famous architecture and gudide them to design and create their own

Riverview East High School
Special effects technology for film-making class

St. Clair High School Yearbook
To purchase a camera start-up kit

Marine City Middle School Band Program
To purchase black Mamba Djembe drums and bongos to promote creativity and art appreciation

St. Clair High School Tech Education
To purchase Vernier Sensor DAQ and use the hardware and software to acquire and analyze data
