Emmett Little League gets new fencing

Emmett Little League playersBaseball has a warm place in the heart of many people in the county.

Emmett Little League alone has 280 children playing in its summer league. Kids ages 4-16 compete from three school districts - Yale, Memphis and Capac.

In addition to the hundreds of kids making up the league, the community also utilizes the fields for summer softball tournaments and other events.

Emmett Little League pitcherThe Community Foundation of St. Clair County provides continued support so the league can keep in tiptop shape.

The Community Foundation recently provided funds so they could finish some fencing needed after their new dugouts were added. 

In 2012 the Community Foundation also provided support for lighting at the fields.
