Donor Spotlight: Tom & Nancy Hunter

Tom and Nancy Hunter are long time donors, volunteers and partners of the Community Foundation. We are fortunate that Tom’s NBD banking career brought them to our community in 1991.
Tom immediately became involved with the Foundation - a diligent, wise and selfless volunteer serving as a Board Trustee for 23 years, including Board Chair and Treasurer. Tom professionally shared his acute investment knowledge while sitting on our Finance and Investment committee for almost 20 years. Nancy is a Women’s Initiative Charter and Gold Circle member. They are also Charter Members of our Legacy Society.
In 2014, Tom and Nancy established their donor advised fund (DAF), the Thomas and Nancy Hunter Family Fund. They use their fund to support their favorite organizations including the International Symphony Orchestra, United Way, YMCA and Mid City Nutrition along with various other projects, programs recommended by Foundation staff.
Tom and Nancy still live in Port Huron and enjoy spending time at their cottage in northern Michigan.
We are honored and proud to help Tom and Nancy with their philanthropic goals both now and in the future.
