Joe Vito & Lasalle Bank - Donor Spotlight

Posted on August 1, 2005

imageLaSalle Bank has once again joined the Community Foundation’s effort to support school children throughout the county with a grant of $5,000. The bank also provided a $5,000 grant to support the 2004 Back to School Event.

Joe Vito, Trustee of the Community Foundation and Senior Vice President at LaSalle, also volunteers his time during the event as a “Celebrity Chef” for what may be Michigan’s largest free picnic. During the Back to School event in Port Huron on August 10th, Joe will work side-by-side with another dozen Chefs to cook and serve 2,000 free hot dogs and hamburgers.

The Port Huron Back to School event will provide more than 1,000 children with free backpacks, school supplies, clothes, shoes and personal items.

The Community Foundation of St. Clair County salutes LaSalle Bank for their continued support of our efforts to improve the quality of life in St. Clair County.
