Juanita A. Gittings - Donor Spotlight

Juanita GittingsJuanita Gittings has been a lifelong advocate for children starting with her career in social services. Although she retired from her position as director of St. Clair County Family Independence Agency in 1997, Gittings is still devoted to improving the life of children in St. Clair County.

Gittings is a Women’s Initiative Emerald Circle member and actively involved with the Back to School program. She also established the Juanita Gittings Youth Fund within the Community Foundation, which will be funded through her estate. This fund will address the needs of at-risk children.

“I believe that the best legacy any of us can leave is to make a positive difference in the life of a child, helping them to achieve success in their lives and in our community,” Gittings said.
