The Marysville Community Fund held a $5,000 Giveaway on Friday, Oct. 21 during the Vikings football game that benefited five Marysville High School programs.
The $5,000 Giveaway recipients were: Robotics and Band with $2,000 each. Service Clubs also received $500 and both Athletics and Performing Arts took away $250 each.
The winning amounts were determined by a Facebook vote that started Sept. 12. Robotics had the most votes with 435 followed by the Vikings Band with 389. The $500 winner was randomly drawn between the remaining three programs.
The Marysville Community Fund was created in 2015 to support the special programs, projects, community events and initiatives in and around the City of Marysville.
A big thank you to the Marysville Community Fund special donors for making this giveaway possible: ForSports, Stewart Beauvais and Whipple PC, Anthony Essian/Raymond James, Northstar Bank and LaDuke Construction.
