Public Art Opportunity
Posted on January 9, 2012
The Blue Water Arts Committee (BWAC) is a grant making committee of the Community Foundation of St. Clair County. Using funds from the Charles & Margaret Anderson Endowment Fund, the mission of the BWAC is to strengthen our region through greater participation in arts and culture via our grant making programs.
The BWAC played a critical role in the development and implementation of the Blue Water International Sculpture Exhibit in 2010. In 2012, the BWAC will be offering grants to continue to expand and enhance the use of sculptures throughout the Blue Water Region as way to support public art.
Applicants may request grant funds for:
- The rental of sculptures through the Suave Art Foundation – http://www.suaveartfoundation.org – or similar organizations, and including curatorial costs and/or installation costs.
- The purchase of sculptures for permanent display and/or the installation of such sculptures.
Any nonprofit organization, community development organization, arts organization, school, city or other local unit of government located in St. Clair County or the City of Lexington, may apply for a grant.
