Studio 1219’s Breast Cancer Fund
Posted on June 20, 2011
The Studio 1219 Breast Cancer Fund recently topped $11,000 in total grants. The Fund was created by Studio 1219 in 2007 with the launch of the “Art of Being a Woman” program during October and the Bra Art decorating contest. Proceeds from the event are split between the Studio and the Breast Cancer Fund at the Community Foundation of St. Clair County.
Each year the Studio 1219 Breast Cancer Fund provides financial support to underinsured or uninsured women via mini-grants to both Port Huron Hospital and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Port Huron. The Studio 1219 Breast Cancer Fund is one of over 125 different funds (donor accounts) managed by the Community Foundation. Last year these funds combined to provide more than $1,000,000 in total grants, awards and scholarships.
Donations to the Breast Cancer Fund can be made online via PayPal on the Community Foundation website. Additional information about Studio 1219 can be found at Studio1219.com
